Director
The Pier film is being written, directed and produced by Osamuede IYI-Eweka (aka Ede). He is a filmmaker from Raleigh North Carolina. Ede has 10 years of production staring from volunteering art his local theater as a carpenter helping to build set pieces on local plays like Cinderella, and Sweeny Tod. He than began working on the off Broadway traveling stage play Guns of Ava taking on roles as stage manager, technical director, and assistant director. While working on the stage Ede began his filmmaking journey, working on local indie films. He had experience working as a best boy, grip camera assistant and production manager on feature films. He’s also worked film festivals as a judge and working directly with showcased artist.
Currently Ede works in is local IATSE union on broadway shows and concerts, he also works full-time for a production company developing and tech live events.
Ede wants to make The Pier film, because this is a story that is very important. It showcase and pays homage to African American History and Cinema. And it shows Them in a light that has not been shown before on screen. It will be produced through his production company 88MMFILMS.
